Construction Marketing Experts are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced PR Account Manager to work from our office on the Wirral, between Chester & Liverpool, on a range of B2B accounts, following some exciting new business wins.

Qualifications and abilities
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a PR and/or marketing agency or role is essential
Knowledge of the built environment sector, media and influencers, desired but not essential
Passionate about sales and developing client accounts
Strong proficiency in media relations work and proven delivery of results
Digitally savvy with a good understanding of social media channels for business
Creativity and personality to always bring something different and engaging to clients/the team
Excellent attention to detail
Confident networking ability and presentation skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong planning and organisational skills
Proactive and ambitious

Ability to multi task, managing multiple projects at once

Responsibilities
Manage client expectations by consistently delivering work on time and to budget
Proactively creating opportunities to expand client accounts by identifying revenue earning opportunities and presenting them to the client
Cross selling CME’s services to clients
Scheduling activities and managing time allocation of each team member to service client expectations in the most profitable way
Create content for press releases, feature articles, blogs, websites and other written materials
Media / Influencer relations – Knowing how to build meaningful relationships with media that can generate new and consistent results
Idea generation – Creativity across campaigns, social, features and copy
Publicity generation – consistently securing positive items of media coverage on behalf of clients
Attending client meetings and conducting yourself in a confident and professional manner
Competent preparation of meeting materials adhering to templates
Ability to manage own workload and prioritise, including accountability for deliverables and ensuring deadlines are met
Maintaining positive relations with clients at all times
Evaluation and presentation of campaign results internally and to clients
Research of potential PR angles and campaigns for clients or new business prospects
Media monitoring - regularly keeping track of the UK media agenda
Analysing making recommendations to improve client profitability
Attending journalist and client events outside of office hours for relationship building / networking
Key Competencies
Copywriting – excellent and accurate writing skills, including interpreting and interrogating the client brief, incorporating key messages, adapting tone and content for different audiences, writing to agreed word counts and editorial guidelines and the ability to understand and accurately describe technical and industry specific content
Strategic thinking – to ensure all activity is aligned to the client’s commercial strategy and business growth across PR programmes, social media activity and new business proposals
Creative thinking – strong creative input through ideas generation and copywriting while ensuring all activity and content is relevant and commercially focused
Commercial awareness – the ability to identify opportunities and drive value from client relationships
Time management – ensuring activity is delivered in a timely manner aligned to the time allocation for each client and working on your own initiative, according to established agency processes and reporting structures
Presentation skills - excellent formal and informal presentation skills to sell ideas and proposals to clients, prospects, journalists and any other third parties as required. A confident personable manner should be complemented by strong communication skills and articulate expression
Problem solving – the ability to address any issues in a non-confrontational and solutions-driven manner, ensuring client relationships are supported while remaining mindful of commercial requirements
Research and analysis – the ability to research information for content or context and analyse facts for use in PR and social media programmes. The candidate should also be able to interpret data for the compilation of client reports and internal commercial monitoring
